OUR MISSION

The Salvadoran Cultural Institute is an all-volunteer non-profit organization whose mission is to educate, celebrate and promote Salvadoran arts, culture and achievements in El Salvador and abroad.

A HUB FOR SALVADORAN ARTS & CULTURE

Since 2015, we have hosted over 200 cultural events, including art exhibits, poetry readings, theater performances, and music showcases in the Washington D.C., Maryland and Virginia areas and online.

BUILDING STRONG CULTURAL BRIDGES

We actively collaborate with institutions in the U.S. and El Salvador to strengthen cultural exchange. Through partnerships with schools, universities, and community organizations, we create opportunities for Salvadoran artists, writers, and scholars to connect, share, and grow.

EXPANDING OUR MISSION & IMPACT

As an all-volunteer nonprofit, we are committed to expanding access to Salvadoran culture. We organize educational programs, cultural initiatives, and outreach activities in community centers and schools, ensuring that Salvadoran heritage is preserved and celebrated across generations.
